Yes, the Geratherm® active control displays this. But be careful, the display indicates that a pulse irregularity as a result of an irregular heartbeat was detected during the measurement. This is usually not a cause for concern. However, if this symbol appears frequently, we recommend that you seek medical advice.
An irregular heartbeat is detected when the heart rhythm fluctuates while the device measures systolic and diastolic blood pressure. With every measurement the device records the heartbeat intervals and calculates the mean value. If there are major irregularities, the symbol appears when the measurement results are displayed for irregular heartbeat.
Major irregularities mean: There are two or more pulse intervals where the difference between each interval and the mean is more than 25% of the mean or four or more pulse intervals where the difference between each interval and the mean differs by more than 15% from the mean appears on the display shows the irregular heartbeat symbol.
