The Geratherm® nebulizer is a compressor inhaler for the supportive treatment of the upper and lower airways in diseases such as bronchitis, asthma, colds and allergies. During inhalation, the mucous membranes in the respiratory tract are moistened, which promotes the expectoration of mucus and pathogens. Drugs added to the nebulizing liquid also relieve the symptoms. Clinical studies with compressor inhalers show that in 95% of cases there is an improvement in symptoms of lower respiratory tract disease. 1)
You can continue to breathe normally during use. No special breathing technique is necessary. That is why the Geratherm® nebulizer is also suitable for children.
Sit in a comfortable position and set the device down safely. The hose length of 1.5m makes this possible.
Loud humming inhalers! - that was yesterday. The noise level of the Geratherm® nebulizer corresponds to a quiet conversation.
Due to their size, the droplets nebulized by the Geratherm® nebulizer easily reach the lower respiratory tract and the bronchi.
You will find different nebulization techniques on the market. But the high nebulization performance of the compressor technology has a decisive advantage over hand-held inhalers. The drug liquid is nebulized into the finest droplets with the help of compressed air. In this form of droplets, the body absorbs the medication better and it can develop its full effect. The smaller the particles, the deeper they penetrate into the lower respiratory tract. Compressor inhalers produce a high proportion of respirable droplets, which not only moisten the mouth, nose and throat, but also reach the bronchi and lungs in large numbers.
The right particle size is important and necessary to reach the right places in the lungs. For therapeutic purposes, a particle size of between 0.5 and 10 μm is given in the specialist literature, with particles between 3 and 6 μm being deposited predominantly in the upper respiratory tract. Only particles smaller than 3 µm can penetrate deeper into the lungs, but are less able to carry medication. Therefore, an optimal compromise is a particle quantity of over 60% between 1 - 5 µm.

The inhaler was developed for the treatment of asthma, allergies and other respiratory diseases. The compressor presses air to the nebulizer and transforms it with any prescribed medication into an aerosol mist of microscopic droplets that can be easily inhaled. The inhaler is for home use and for children and adults.
You should disinfect the mask, mouthpiece and nebulizer after each use, otherwise bacteria and viruses could be transmitted. They also clean the nebuliser and the medication container. Medication residue can result in incorrect dosing and can result in the device no longer nebulizing effectively.
The nebulizer kit should be replaced every 6 months and the air filter should be replaced every 60 days.
Notice:
Yes, the Geratherm® nebulizer can be used by several people, but each user needs their own nebulizer set, tube and mask or mouthpiece. You can purchase the accessories for the Geratherm® nebulizer in the pharmacy or in specialist shops. Only use original accessories.
Note: To avoid cross-infection, never use the same accessories for multiple people.
