Test up to 5 days before your period is due

The Geratherm® early detect pregnancy test provides you with reliable information about a possible pregnancy. You will receive the result within a few minutes.

Accurate

With a sensitivity of 10 mIU/ml concentration in urine and 99 per cent reliability, our early pregnancy test can detect pregnancy five days before your period is due.

Simple

The practical ‘midstream’ test for home use is quick and easy to use. Simply remove the protective cap from the applicator and urinate onto the absorbent tip or immerse it in a urine sample until it is saturated.

Rapid

Within just three minutes, you will receive a reliable result, which can be read in the test window. If the control window (C) shows a line, the test has been performed correctly. A second line indicates pregnancy.

Geratherm® early detect works by detecting human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone is produced by the developing placenta shortly after a fertilised egg implants itself in the lining of the uterus. The concentration of hCG in urine rises rapidly in the early weeks of pregnancy.

Due to its high sensitivity of 10 mIU/ml, Geratherm® early detect can detect even very small amounts of this hormone, enabling detection up to five days before the expected onset of menstruation. For a reliable result, it is recommended to use the first morning urine, as this usually has the highest hCG concentration.

Test execution

The Geratherm® early detect is designed to be intuitive to use. Remove the protective cap to expose the suction tip. This can be moistened directly in the urine stream. Alternatively, the suction tip can be immersed in a urine sample in a clean container for at least 15 seconds.

Ensure that the result window does not come into contact with urine.

Then replace the protective cap and place the Geratherm® early detect on a flat surface.

Interpretation of the test display

The test result can be read after three minutes.

The appearance of a coloured line in the control field (C) confirms that the test has been performed correctly and that a sufficient sample volume has been achieved. The development of a second line in the test field (T) indicates a positive result. The intensity of the lines may vary; only their visible presence is decisive for interpretation.

The test result has a clinically validated reliability of 99 per cent.

Questions and answers

The diagnostic ultra early pregnancy test detects a hormone (hCG - human chorionic gonadotropin) in your urine that your body produces during pregnancy. The amount of the hormone hCG increases during pregnancy.

The test can be carried out 5 days before the expected start (due) of the period. The start (due date) of the period is calculated as 15 days after ovulation. You can take the test at any time of the day, but your first morning urine is usually the most concentrated and contains a larger amount of hCG.

Although the Geratherm® early detect can be performed at any time of the day, the first morning urine is usually the most concentrated and contains the highest amount of hCG.

The Geratherm® early detect pregnancy test detects hCG in urine at a concentration of 10 IU/L or greater. The test has been standardized to the WHO Third International Standard. The addition of LH (300 IU/L), FSH (1000 IU/L) and TSH (1000 μIU/mL) to negative (0 IU/L) and positive (10 IU/L) samples does not affect the result.

It means that your urine contains hCG and you are probably pregnant. See your doctor to confirm that you are pregnant and to discuss the steps you should take.

The appearance of a colored line in the control window (C) tells you that you followed the test procedure properly and the proper amount of urine was absorbed.
