The Geratherm® non Contact is an infrared thermometer that works without contact and without contact. It is particularly hygienic because you can measure it without touching the body. The precision infrared thermometer measures body temperature from 34°C to 42.2°C with an high accuracy. It has a visual and audible fever indicator and comes with a handy storage tray.
The contactless measurement reduces the transmission of viruses and other pathogens.
Since there is no direct physical contact, the thermometer is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.
The Geratherm® non Contact gives you the choice between the Fahrenheit or Celsius measurement unit.

No, the Geratherm® non Contact is a non-contact thermometer.
The thermometer measures the infrared energy emitted by the skin of the forehead. This energy is captured by lenses and converted into temperature readings. Temperature readings measured by scanning the area above the eyebrow are the most accurate.
Use a sponge soaked in alcohol or a cotton cloth dampened with alcohol (e.g. 70% isopropanol) to clean the thermometer housing and the measuring sensor. No liquid should get inside the thermometer. Don't use aggressive ones Detergents, solvents or benzene for cleaning and never immerse the device in water or other cleaning liquids.
The Geratherm® non Contact is not waterproof.
The Geratherm® non Contact complies with IP 22 and is therefore protected against solid foreign objects with a diameter of 12.5 mm and more and against water dripping at an angle of up to 15 degrees.
Observe the correct application according to the instructions for use. Measure again while observing the maximum distance to the forehead of 2 cm.
If the value is low again, carry out a control measurement with a conventional clinical thermometer.
For newborns under 6 months, carry out a control measurement with a conventional clinical thermometer.
A control measurement should also be carried out in children under three years of age with a weak immune system, in which the presence or absence of fever is decisive.
